About Tathwamasi Charitable Trust

Tathwamasi Charitable Trust is a charitable organisation registered in New Zealand (Registration # CC64450), established to preserve, promote and pass on the spiritual and cultural heritage of Sanatana Dharma through worship, learning, culture and service. Inspired by the timeless traditions of Keralam and guided by the values of faith, compassion and community, the Trust was formed with a vision to create a lasting spiritual home for present and future generations.

At the heart of this vision is the establishment of a traditional Keralam-style Hindu temple dedicated to Sri Guruvayoorappan and Sri Ayyappan. Rooted in the sacred Tantric temple traditions of Keralam, the temple is envisioned as a centre for worship, spiritual growth, cultural preservation and community service. Through daily worship, festivals, religious observances and educational programmes, the Trust seeks to provide opportunities for individuals and families to deepen their connection to faith and heritage.

Beyond the temple, Tathwamasi Charitable Trust is committed to fostering learning, cultural enrichment and charitable service. Through religious education, traditional arts, community initiatives, annadanam and outreach programmes, the Trust aims to strengthen community bonds, support those in need and contribute positively to New Zealand's diverse multicultural society.

The word Tathwamasi (तत्त्वमसि), one of the Mahāvākyas of the Upanishads, means "That Thou Art". It expresses the profound spiritual truth of the essential unity of the individual self with the Supreme Reality. Inspired by this timeless wisdom, the Trust seeks to promote values of self-discovery, respect, compassion and service while preserving the rich spiritual traditions that have guided generations.
